Maybe you don't need a new saddle after all! In 75% of cases, a saddle can be altered to fit the horse and rider, saving the owner a significant amount of money, time, and frustration. A menu of options follows that we would be happy to discuss with you.
- Replacement: of Trees, Seats, and Knee pads
- Tree Adjustment: We adjust trees and/or help you to communicate with your saddle company for correct adjustments under warranty.
- Stirrup Bar Adjustment: Is your stirrup bar to tight or too loose? We can fix this. Would you like to have your stirrup leather hang further back? We have suggestions. Note: Stirrup bar replacement is a costly procedure but we can do it.
- Replacement or Adjustment of Knee or thigh blocks: Larger, smaller, it’s your call…
- Gullet Adjustment: widening the gullet under your saddle will make it more comfortable for your horse by providing more room around the spine.
- Reflocking: most saddles today are flocked with polyester batton, which compresses very hard and can cause bumps on your horse's back. We replace it with the most elastic wool we can find for a correct and comfy fit.
- Foam to wool conversion: Foam can lose its elasticity over the years. We can replace it with wool to rejuvenate the saddle, and we adjust the panel width for optimum weight distribution.
- Billet straps: not only do we replace billet straps, we check their location for correct balance
- Repairs: Patching, fixing, replacing, mending, fussing. We are fuss budgets!
